R

Reinforcement, also: plaster reinforcement
Plaster reinforcement in the form of glass-fibre mesh or hessian fabric serves to dissipate tension that can arise in the surface of the plaster. This reduces the risk or occurrence of cracking. The fabric or mesh is embedded in the topmost third of the plaster and should overlap by at least 10 cm where sections of reinforcement adjoin.
